Agents of National Police stop at Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) to a 24-year-old man as allegedly guilty of a crime of damage and another threat aggravated by the use of a knife, made against minors in a non-federated soccer match.
In the report this Saturday of National Police, when the events happened, last January, the detainee acts as the match referee and when one of the players from one of the minor teams berated him for one of the decisions made, he reacted violently.
Witnesses said he hit the minor with a punch to the chest and a strong slap to the face, immediately after taking a bladed weapon from under his clothes and returning to the player with a knife in his hands to scare him.
The event forced the remaining players from both teams, as well as a large number of the public watching the match, to invade the field to stand between the man and the minor, thus preventing a new attack.
Another of the players from the opposing team, who is a minor, also participated in the threats, so he was identified and informed of his actions to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, which will handle his responsibilities.
At the time of the events, the adult and the minor who followed him quickly left the area in a vehicle before police officers arrived, but National Police investigators identified them and collected the evidence about what happened.
The perpetrator was arrested on March 16 and transferred to the area of the Jerez Police Station on Avenida de la Universidad, where he entered the prison area until he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority acting as Guard.
The minor was transferred by his father to a Health Center in the city, where he was treated for facial and body injuries, and where he was issued a medical aid report attached to the police report.
