The death of the sports commissioner Robert Rea during a competition with city of Zamorain the southern Amazon of Ecuadormourned the national cycling on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Monday during the trial of Junior Cycling Championshipwithin City of Zamora velodrome, when one of the competitors lost control of his bike and violently struck Rea.
After the accident, the commissioner was transferred to a health home in the Andean city of Loja, where doctors confirmed his death.
