Popular Canadian former world champion Kim Clavel, 32, will return to the ring on April 28, against Mexican Naomi Arellano Reyes, for the vacant World Boxing Council International flyweight title.
The bout, which will take place at Place Bell in Laval, Canada, will be Clavel’s first since losing on January 13 against world champion Yesica Nery Plata.
Originally from Nayarit, Mexico, Reyes now lives and trains in Los Angeles, California. Reyes, 28, is known for his power, proven by his 5 knockout wins. Her most notable win came against former world champion Carina Moreno (25-7-0, 6KO) in 2020.
In her most recent fight in October, Reyes lost a decision to Gabriela Fundura (8-0-0, 4KO) for the WBC Latino flyweight title in a PBC event broadcast on Showtime.
