The Colombian Luis Díaz is “in the final stages of recovery” after a knee injury that has kept him off the pitch since October, according to reports Jurgen Klopp, Manager of Liverpool.
Diaz disappeared most of the season due to a knee injury that occurred in early October in a game against Arsenal and forced him to undergo surgery.
The Colombian returned to training with the group this week and although he will not be in the call-up to face Manchester City this Saturday, he will be back soon.
“Luis participated in small parts of the training. Fortunately, he’s back, but he won’t be training with us now. This week is the first step to getting him back in training and we will increase the intensity from there. It is promising and we are in the final stages of recovery,” he said on Friday.
