A Fluminense fan dies and another was injured this Sunday morning amid a discussion in a bar in Rio de Janeiro after the first leg of the Carioca Championship final, played by that team against Flamengo.
According to the police, the the bar discussion settled into gunshots of a man and ended up with a 40-year-old man dead and another wounded by three gunshots, who was transferred to a hospital and the condition is “serious”, according to the doctors who treated him.
the events they happened in a bar in Tijucaa neighborhood in the north of Rio de Janeiro usually frequented by Fluminense fans.
Authorities did not say whether there were fans of Flamengo, one of Fluminense’s bitterest rivals in Brazilian soccer, at the venue.
Both clubs met hours before the first leg of the Brazilian Championship final, with Flamengo winning 2-0.
The author of the shots was arrested and, according to the Police, he allegedly reacted that way after being attacked with a bottle.
