Jagoba Arrasate, unlike Valverde a few hours before, was more outspoken yesterday in relation to the question of whether they practiced maximum penalty shots in front of the possible result of a cup tie between Athletic and Osasuna. Rojillo’s coach clarified at the beginning that “we rehearsed penalties” and then deepened the matter based on questions.
“But how do you rehearse that when El Sadar is empty? Or Athletic’s reception upon arrival in San Mamés? These aspects can only be guessed at. We, through thick and thin, make things natural”, argued the coach of the Navarrese team.
Arrasate pointed out in this regard that “we have a healthy dressing room and they don’t eat their heads, a fairly balanced team. That is key to giving our best version. Tomorrow (for now) is a day to don’t do strange things”.
