an employee of Boca Juniors accused the coach of the women’s team, Jorge Martinezof sexual harassment. Andrea Lucangioli, a lawyer for the complainant, told local media on Monday that he had brought the accusation against Martínez to prosecutors.
Luncagioli said his client was sexually abused by the coach against his will last year, among other incidents involving him. Lucangioli further reported that his client brought the accusation to the club’s Department of Equality and Inclusion before contacting prosecutors.
Neither the club nor the coach has commented on the matter. News of the accusations came a day after the Boca Juniors women’s team beat arch-rivals River Plate 3-0.
