The name of Joseba Etxeberria has been excluded as an electoral asset for the next Athletic presidential elections. The coach from Elgoibarra only renewed as coach of Mirandés until June 30, 2023. The red club were pleased with his team’s behavior after arriving in the middle of the League of former rojiblanco on the Anduva bench.
Mirandés himself has now made official the agreement reached with Etxebe to extend his contract for another season to give his current project a continuation. The Basque coach took the rojillo bench in February of this year and after ten games at the helm of the hogs, where he scored a total of 16 of 30 possible points, he earned the trust of the board and sports director, Chema Aragón, with another season.
Mirandés, who was in a difficult situation with the arrival of Joseba Etxeberria, changed their style of play and since then they have recorded five wins, one draw and four losses. Along with the former Athletic coach, Jorge Pérez will also continue as second.
