Max Verstappen was the great dominator at the start of the Formula 1 World Cup seasonalthough he had to share the media spotlight with another well-known star: Fernando Alonso.
The Asturian’s three consecutive podium finishes have brought a flurry of accolades from which the current world champion does not want to be left behind.
“I think Fernando should have won more races than he has now. I think he deserves better” he declared in the final hours.
“I would be very happy to see him win number 33. But also, in a way, I would like to see him win more.. So we will see it in the next races” added the Red Bull driver, who will again start as favorite in the next round of the championship, the Azerbaijan GP, which will take place on the last weekend of April.
It is common for F1 to take a break in August, from the Belgian F1 Grand Prixthe last one before the summer break (July 28-30) until the Zandvoort event (August 25-27), or in the winter, from the end of the World Cup to the start of the action at the start of the preseason and the first race.
But this year, Formula 1 drivers and all teams have another break to recharge their batteries in the spring. This is a casual matter, as it is caused by the cancellation of the Chinese GP from the current calendaran appointment scheduled for April 16, between Australia and Baku.
