Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard will stay at Jumbo-Visma until the end of 2027, as announced on Tuesday by the Dutch team. Vingegaard, who beat Tadej Pogacar to win cycling’s biggest race last year, joined Jumbo-Visma in 2019, when he signed a three-year contract.
“I’ve had an amazing journey with the team that has supported me all the way to become the rider I am today,” Vingegaard said. “I appreciate the quality of the team and the people here and I feel at home”he added.
At Jumbo-Visma he will try this summer to achieve his main goal of the season: defend his Tour title. “France has something special,” he said. “My feeling, standing on top of the podium, is incredible. My goal is to reach many more victories”is warning.
