A Scottish ultra-marathon runner, Joasia ZakrzewskI, have been disqualified in the final days of the test between Manchester and Liverpool for a surreal reason: he decided not following the regulations and making a section through the car.
Zakrzewski posted a time of 7 hours and 25 minutes at the finish line. However, one of the sections recorded on Strava of his journey showed an unusually high speed for a test with these characteristics. though, this is faster than what Usain Bolt usually sets in speed tests.
This situation raised suspicion in the organization and ended up knowing the reason for this situation: the runner missed a section of about four kilometers and he did it by car. Despite this, when the investigation was not closed, he was on the podium after finishing third and received the trophy.
However, after some time, the runner said that he felt bad about himself and confessed what happened. The organization acted immediately and Zakrzewski was disqualified from the exam.
