The American duo of Wyndham Clark and Beau Hossler maintained the lead of the Zurich Classic in New Orleans on Friday after the second round, with Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay setting record laps.
Clark and Hossler birdied five for 67 (-16 overall) and were one shot ahead of chasers Doc Redman-Sam Ryder and Sung-jae Im-Keitch Mitchell.
Two shots off the leaders, Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay closed out a record-breaking second round with a 9-under 63 total, breaking the previous best of 65 set in 2019 by Jon Rahm and Ryan Palmer.
The defending champions made seven birdies and an eagle to jump atop the leader board in this unique PGA Tour foursome event.
