Max Verstappen (Red Bull), leader of the Formula One World Championship and aiming for a third consecutive title, announced that he “wanted” to run in Miami (USA), venue of the next Grand Prix -next weekend-, but warned that it would be “difficult because of the heat” and that they “must be prepared.”
“I’ve been wanting to race in Miami; last year (the one debut GP on this calendar) We have already verified that this is a very demanding track, where it is very hot. So we have to be ready for it.”, commented Verstappen, 25, who leads the world championship with 93 points, six more than his teammate, Mexican Sergio Pérez, who won Sunday in Azerbaijan; where the Jalisco pilot relegated him to second place.
“Obviously it won’t be easy. It’s quite a complicated circuit and I think they resurfaced the track again this year; so we need to see how it affects our performance“, warned Verstappen -37 times winner in F1, two of them this year- with a goal at the Miami Grand Prix, the fifth season.
