Fourth year of life within a club founded in 1990
Massi-Tactic, the first women’s team Baix Ter Cycling Clubcontinues under the direction of Manel Gonzalo and Angel Gonzalez and competes as a continental team for the fourth season. This is the only Catalan women’s team competing with the world elite. The season will last until September and they will compete in approximately thirty national and international races, some UCI WorldTour, through Italy, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Netherlands and throughout Spain. Last season, as a UCI Continental category team, they participated in the trials of the highest division, the World Tour, where they faced off against the best teams in the world, adding podiums to international races in Europe and were proclaimed as team and individual champions of the Spanish Cup and Catalan Cup.
CC Baix Ter was founded in 1990 and created its first women’s team 11 years ago to give projection to the three girls from the entity leaving the training stage. Despite the creation of the UCI team in 2019, the Costa Brava club continues to bet on quarry growth and continues to have a second amateur team (Catema.cat) participating in territorial trials. The commitment of the first team to the academy was consistent and Massi-Tactic had, in the three years of its life, several cyclists from Catema.cat. Mireia Benito and Martina Moreno are currently together. In addition, Marina Isan, Ariadna Trias and Patri Ortega also dived into Massi-Tactic, and Mireia Trias, who signed up two years ago, trained at Catema.cat youth academy.
