English Lando Norris (McLaren), which set the sixth time on the day of free practice for Miami Grand Prix (USA), the fifth in the Formula One World Cup, was declared this Friday, in the circuit built around the Hard Rock Stadium of the aforementioned town in the state of Florida, which he expected “in Q3” this Saturday.
“It was a reasonable first day in Miami; I think we improved slightly between the first and second free practice, which is good; so we can try to continue moving in that direction tomorrow”, commented Norris, born 23 years ago in Bristol, who is tenth in the World Cup, with 10 points.
“I’m quite happy, I think we’ve found a bit better balance in the car. Q“We have problems in some parts of the track, so we will focus on improving in those areas, increase confidence in the car and fight to be in Q3 of qualifying tomorrow,” said Norris, who four years ago was a teammate of Spaniard Carlos Sainz -now at Ferrari- at McLaren, and with six podium finishes in the premier class.
