Wayne Rooney (37) wrote in his opinion column in ‘The Times’ his opinion on the semi-final tie of the Champions League that will face real Madrid and in City of Manchester. The former England international, who succeeded as a player at Everton and Manchester United, has a clear favourite.
Rooney believes that, now, Manchester City are superior to any other team, although he admits that at Real Madrid nothing can be taken away. “Manchester City will not only eliminate Real Madrid but leave them stunned. Of course I could be wrong,” he said.
“There is no better team to reject the arguments against him than Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid in the Champions League. But I think Manchester City is so good that it is on another level,” he said.
