Chelsea’s surprise. As reported by the Daily Mail, Frank Lampard has summoned the English club’s U14 captain to senior team training on Thursday after seeing the youngster play with first team stars at Cobham.
The teenager can be seen Charlie Holland training players like Joao Felix, Thiago Silva, Conor Gallagher and Raheem Sterling after the manager decided to give him a golden opportunity ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.
Holland, who captained the Under-14 team in the Albert Phelan Cup South earlier this month, enjoyed some light first-team training for the first time while sharing a few words with Gallagher, Chelsea player.
The pictures from Thursday’s training session speak for themselves. The youth group didn’t quite believe it. So, the promising Under-14 was spotted with star Mykhailo Mudryk and other players as they waited for their next workout. A dream come true.
Lampard is a known advocate of young talent being brought in Mason Mount, Reece James, Tammy Abraham, and Fikayo Tomori in his first spell as Chelsea manager.
