Argentine Javier Zanetti, vice president of Inter, hopes that in the final his team will not face Real Madrid because “it is like a competition made for them”.
“This group deserves to play a Champions League final thirteen years later. But I hope Madrid don’t play because it seems like a competition made for them,” Zanetti said laughing at Giuseppe Meazza’s pitch on Sky Sports Italy.
Lautaro was the hero of the match and Zanetti assured that “I am very happy for him, He is having an extraordinary career. He is growing and now he is a very important reference in the team”.
“He’s very happy here, he’s found his home, his family, they’re happy to be at Inter and I hope they stay longer,” added the Inter vice-president.
“This is a team that didn’t make any noise and deserved to be in the final,” Zanetti said.
