Outside of sports, English media reported that a ‘red devil’ fan had been arrested at the stadium for wearing a shirt mocking the disaster of hillsborough. On the back can be seen the number 97 and above, the place of the name, is written ‘not enough’, something that quickly went viral on social networks.
The shirt defined the disaster of hillsborough happened in 1989 and it was one of the great tragedies of English football. A total of 97 people died after a section of the Sheffield Wednesday stadium collapsed during the CA Cup semi-final between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.
The police themselves reported the arrest of the fan. “We are aware of this and have worked with Wembley officials in advance to identify the individual. He was arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and taken into custody,” the police themselves said in a message on Twitter.
