Thebes: “Let the latter close the door and turn off the light”

Date:

Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, reacted this Tuesday to the decision of Juventus to abandon the project European super league with the phrase “be the last to close the door and turn off the light”.

That writes Thebes in his twitter account with the portrait of the presidents of Real Madrid, Florentino Perezand from Barcelona, Joan Laportaon both sides of Bernd Reichart, head of A22 Sports Management, the promoter of the Super League.

Juventus sent the real Madrid and in Barcelona a letter in which he informed them that he would abandon the Super League project in which only these three clubs remained as champions of the reform of European football.

Juve, after a season marked by everything extra-sporting, with the resignation of its entire Board of Directors -with Andrea Agnelli in the lead- and the economic and sporting sanctions in Serie A, he got out of the project after the formation of a new board of directors.

The departure of the Turin team comes at a time when UEFA is expected to rule with new sanctions on ‘Vecchia Signora’ to leave it without European competitions for the coming seasons for what is related to the so-called ‘Prism Investigation’, which includes the capital gains case and salary maneuvers during the pandemic.

The penalties, first of 15 points and later changed to 10 units, left Juve seventh in the table, occupying the place of Conference League.
