García Pimienta will not leave the Canary Islands to drive any other team in Spain or the Arab market and renew at UD Las Palmas. the palms and the the yellow coach held negotiations and, until last Tuesday, few of the Canary Islands agreed to any agreement due to the question of forms being discussed by the president of UD Las Palmas, Miguel Angel Ramirezwho did not want to talk to the representatives.

García Pimienta will continue to lead the first team next season, after closing a renewal agreement this afternoon, with the entity’s president Miguel Ángel Ramírez. The coaching staff is completed by Álex García, assistant coach, David Gómez, physical trainer, and José Esteban Yepes, goalkeeping coach.
Francisco Javier García Pimienta joined the yellow discipline in January 2022 and his first game on the bench in charge of UD Las Palmas came against Real Sociedad ‘B’, on January 30 of that year. After adding eleven wins and five draws, he managed to qualify the team for the Play-off for promotion to the First Division.
Already in the project for the 2022-23 season, García Pimienta fulfilled the goal of promotion to the highest category, a feat he achieved by obtaining direct promotion after adding 18 wins, 18 draws and surrendering only 6 who lost the entire course. The Catalan coach also managed to make UD Las Palmas the best visiting team in LaLiga SmartBank.
Throughout the 42 days, he put the first team in direct promotion on 32 occasions (of which 16 remained as leader) and on another 9 days, in the Play-off positions.
