The boxer from Gran Canaria Samuel Carmona said Thursday that his goal is to try to capture the world flyweight title that eluded him on points last December USAafter sustaining an injury to his right hand in the match.
Carmona, 27 years old and an Olympian in Rio de Janeiro 2016he is practicing Madrid High Performance Centerin the morning and afternoon sessions, having recovered from the fracture he suffered in the thumb of his right hand in a fight with the Mexican Julio Cesar ‘Rey’ Martinezwithin Desert Diamond Arena from the city of glendalein Arizona.
“I have been unemployed for a long time, although I returned to amateur, so I continued shooting, but my hand is perfect now and the injury is forgotten,” he told EFE this Thursday at the inauguration of a boxing workshop in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Promoted by the NGO Up2U Project, for minors in situations of social vulnerability.
