Slovenian Ceh, fourth best world record of all time

the slovenian Kristjan Ceh (24 years old) threw the disc 71.86 meters this Friday at Johvi (Estonia)achievement the fourth best world record in historyannounced European Athletics on their social networks.

With his throw, the world’s best mark of the year, Ceh joined the books of Swede Daniel Stahl and former USSR thrower Yuriy Dumchev, who also had a mark of 71.86 meters.

The Estonian Gerd Kanter (73.38 m in 2006), the Lithuanian Virgilijus Alekna (73.88 m in 2000) and the German Jürgen Schult (74.08 m), the holder of the world record since 1986, followed ahead.

The world champion in Eugene (USA) last summer, Kritjan Ceh is 5th in the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Her performances are all the more remarkable because throwing disciplines are often dominated by more experienced athletes.

Stahl (30 years old), current Olympic champion, was second in Friday’s meeting in Estonia with a throw of 71.45 m, the third best of his career.
