The success of Tunisian Ons Jabeur in Madrid re -arranged the top 10 of the WTA world rankingwith Polish Iga Swiatek maintaining first place, Czech Barbora Krejcikova climbed to second place and Paula Badosa dropped one step to be third.
Jabeur earned three positions to settle for seventh place, his best classification in history. Greek Maria Sakkari, Estonian Anett Kontaveit and Czech Karolina Pliskova took fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
The great victim, this week, was Russian Aryna Sabalenka, who lost four spots to become eighth. American Danielle Collins and Garbiñe Muguruza, who closes in the Top 10, lost one position.
Of the remaining Spanish players, Sara Sorribes climbed ten places to reach 37, while Nuria Párrizas got one to settle for 51.
