According to PGA Tour data, McIlroy played 3,253 par 3 holes on the American tour before hitting his first ace. The Northern Irishman, still on the course, is at -2 after 13 holes played.
The leader of the home-club is the American keegan bradley with 62 shots (-8), thanks to nine birdies and one bogey at the par 70 TPC River Highlands.
