Rio de Janeiro’s environmental authorities imposed a new fine on Neymar on Saturday for violating a ban imposed this week on one of his mansions, where the footballer is building an artificial lake.
Inspectors revisited the mansion of the Brazilian international from Paris Saint-Germain and They identified movements in the prohibited zone, indicating violation of the embargo and new violations of the environment.
Neymar violated the penalty on Friday -a day after it was imposed- when there was a party to inaugurate the lake, where the footballer even enjoyed a bath even though the work was not done yet.
The photos spread on social networks along with others where some of the visitors posed next to the prohibition signs.
An area of luxurious mansions
The new tests were certified by the inspectors of the Ministry of the Environment Mangaritiba, a municipality on the coast of Rio de Janeiro known for its luxurious ‘resorts’ and mansions, They are involved in the investigation process that the case follows, according to a note from the entity.
Until now the amount of the fines is not known, which according to the authorities will be known in the next days, after the case is analyzed, according to official sources.
Work was suspended on Thursday
The works carried out on Neymar’s mansion were suspended on Thursday when the environmental authorities found a series of irregularities in them.
Some of the points made by the prosecutors are the diversion of the flow of streams, the collection of water from a river without proper authorization, the prohibited excavations, irregular movement of rocks and soil and use of beach sand.
The activities were carried out at the Aero Rural condominium, next to Portobello, where the player has another luxurious mansion of 5,000 square meters worth 28 million reais (5.36 million euros).
