The Brazilian municipality of Mangaratiba announced on Monday that it had fined soccer player Neymar for some work he did at his beach house in that city in the state of Rio de Janeiro and was suspended by environmental authorities.
The fine was set at 16 million reais (3.3 million dollars or three million euros) and refers to the construction of an artificial lake in the extensive gardens of the residence, where the player of the Brazilian team and French PSG rests these days.
Two weeks ago, the residence was visited by the environmental authorities, who discovered various irregularities, took away the works and prohibited the use of the lake, a decision that Neymar later failed to follow, according to those video posted on the internet with photos of a party he offered a few days later. .
Among the irregularities found are the diversion of some streams, unauthorized collection of water from the river, illegal digging, irregular movement of rocks and soil, and use of sand from the beach near the house.
Activities are carried out in the Aero Rural condominium, nearby Portobello, where the player has another luxurious mansion of approximately 5,000 square meters.
