Until now Spain knows what it feels like to win this tournament five times (1995, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2013) and its record in recent years is the silver medal in 2010, 2011, 2016 and 2019. , and the bronze in 2008 , 2015 and 2022. The English lead the record with nine wins. The last Spanish victory was built in 2013 at Fulford Golf Club (England), where they beat Austria 5-2 in the final.

Returning to the men’s victory, the Spanish team reclaimed the title it won in 2022 after defeating Sweden. Three golfers repeated from that winning team: Luis Masaveu, Javier Barcos and José Luis Ballester (continental European champion in 2023), this time supported by Jaime Montojo, Ángel Ayora and Joseba Torres.
