Donnarumma and his competition with Keylor: "The club will make decisions"

Gianluigi Donnarumma has now confirmed, in declarations to the France Press agency, that he cannot imagine replacing ownership of PSG’s goal with Keylor Navas, who a few days ago was also disturbed by this situation.

“I don’t think it will continue like this, because I think the club will make decisions”, ‘Gigio’ explained. “I have a very good relationship with Keylor, we are two good guys, we understand the situation, but it was hard, and for him also. Let’s say that we handled it well, with the whole group and especially between the two of us “, added the Italian goalkeeper while expressing his desire to continue with PSG.

Keylor Navas also admitted on April 20 on Canal+, after PSG-Angers’ match in Ligue 1, that the “situation” was “complicated.”

“I have a very good relationship with ‘Gigio’, but I want to play all the games,” Navas explained then. “I’m happy in Paris, but that needs to change.”

Pochettino’s confession

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino alternated between the two goalkeepers throughout the season without establishing a clear hierarchy.

“Surely there will be another management next year,” Pochettino explained despite the fact that everyone is indicating that he will not continue with PSG. “The competition has been good, but the future will definitely be written in other circumstances. Donnarumma, 23, arrived at PSG last summer, without a contract, from Milan, after winning the European Championship with Italy and being selected as the tournament’s best player. He has a contract until 2026.

For his part, Keylor Navas, 35, came to PSG in 2019 from Real Madrid and has a contract until 2024.
