Sara Sorribes advanced to the round of 16 of WTA Lausanne

The Spanish Sarah Sorribes beat switzerland Susan Bandecchi in the round of 32 of the tournament lausanne (Switzerland), in the 250 category, played on clay, 6-2 and 6-1.

The first confrontation between the two was resolved in one hour and twenty minutes in favor of the Spaniards. The match featured six service breaks: three in the first set in favor of Sorribes and one by the Italian; the second set resulted in two breaks for the world number 87 (fourth and sixth games).

Sorribes found a place in the round of 16 and joined, among others, Argentine Julia Riera, Russians Elina Avanesian and Mirra Andreeva, American Emma Navarro, Swiss Jil Teichmann and Montenegrin Danka Kovinic.
