Foggia led the first free practice at Le Mans

The Italian Dennis Foggia (Honda) led the first free practice session for the Moto3 French Grand Prix at the Le Mans circuit, ahead of Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda) of Japan and his compatriot Andrea Migno (Honda).

Foggia, less effective in the final rounds of the world championship, dramatically improved in these first French tests, played in optimal weather conditionswith perfectly clear skies and high temperatures for the time of day where these first tests were conducted.

Foggia set a best time of 1: 42.184 where he surpassed by about three-tenths of a second both Tatsuki Suzuki and Andrea Migno and the Spaniard Izan Guevara (GasGas), who rose to fourth place in the final minutes of the session.

The ruler of the world, Sergio García Dols (GasGas) had to settle in the twelfth positionjust behind Brazilian Diogo Moreira (KTM), Spanish Carlos Tatay (CFMoto) and Turkish Deniz Öncü (KTM), and ahead of Sevillian José Antonio Rueda, who replaces Malaysian Azman on the Rivacold team.

Daniel Holgado (KTM) got the eighth fastest time, with Xavier Artigas (CFMoto) sixteenthAdrián Fernández (KTM), eighteenth, ahead of Iván Ortolá (KTM), with Gerard Riu (KTM), twenty seconds, and his teammate and only woman in the competition, Ana Carrasco (KTM), second twenty eight.
