The British Tao Geoghegan Hartwinner of the Giro in 2020, is leaving Ineos at the end of the year to join Lidl-Trek in the next three seasons, as announced this Thursday by the cycling team, which continues to strengthen itself in an amazing way.
Geoghegan Hart, who won the Tour of the Alps again this year, is, at the age of 28, one of the best cyclists of his generation. He is the second great runner to announce his departure from Ineos after Frenchman Pavel Sivakov, who will join Tadej Pogacar in the UAE.
With Lidl-Trek, whose budget has increased since the arrival of the supermarket chain ahead of the Tour de France, the Briton will have prominent support from Mads Pedersen, Giulio Ciccone, Mattias Skjelmose and the promising Italian promise Jonathan Milan, one another new signing from Bahrain.
The arrival of Geoghegan Hart is currently the main transfer of this transfer window which officially opened on August 1.
