Valencia transferred Racic to Sassuolo

Date:

Valencia has announced that it has reached an agreement with Sassuolo for the transfer of Serbian international midfielder Uros Racic to the Italian team.

Although Valencia did not release transfer figures, it could be around 2.5 million euros and a percentage on a future sale.

Racic’s departure could cause the club’s leading shareholder, Peter Lim, to unlock some of the operations agreed to by the club’s sports management, as in the case of Sergi Canós, who was linked at Alavés in recent times.

Racic arrived in the summer of 2018 and, after coming through VCF Mestalla, he played a total of 70 games with the first team. Since his arrival, he has played on loan for Valencia in Tenerife, Famalicão and Braga, last season.

The Serbian international participated in the season to win the Copa del Rey in 2019, although he did not finish the consolidation which caused several assignments and that the current coach of the team Rubén Baraja did not like him to the team.

Valencia indicated in a statement that “they want to thank him for the attitude shown to these people and wish him the best of luck from now on”.
