Englishman Daniel Brown achieved the first victory of his DP World Tour career, winning the ISPS Handa, held at the Galgorm Castle field, in Co Antrim (Northern Ireland), with Spaniard Adrián Otaegui finishing fourth place
Brown clearly dominated the entire tournament. His wrist didn’t waver in the final round either, except for the start and the three bogeys he hit between holes 11 and 13. He recovered and carded a 69 stroke for a total of 266 (-15), and finished. with five shots ahead of Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick and eight over fellow countryman Eddie Pepperell.
Otaegui closed the tournament with a 72 to finish with 276 (-5), tied for fourth with Dane Marcus Helligkilde, South African Wilco Nienaber, Englishman John Parry and Scotsman Connor Syme.
Ángel Hidalgo produced the worst lap of the weekend with 74 to finish seventeenth with 280, while Víctor Pastor was twenty-seventh with 283.
