Duplantis started the World Cup far from his marks

Date:

Swedish Armand Duplantis, pole vault world record holder, began the defense of his world crown by leading the qualifying round and reaching the final with a best jump of 5.75, a discreet mark for his intention to beat the world record of he holds with 6.22.
