Luke Donald, captain of the European Ryder Cup teamwill collect his 12 players next weekfirst in Marco Simone of Rome and then on Wentworth (London suburbs).
The European team will conduct a recognition on the ground of the next Ryder against the USA on Monday the 11th. They will all fly on Sunday 10 pm to the Italian capital.
On Monday they will train and take to the Marco Simone field where they will look for victory in the 44th edition of the Ryder Cup against the United States before they all fly to London in the evening to play the prestigious PGA on the West Course Wentworth from Thursday 14th.
The organization of the BMW PGA Championship confirmed on social networks the presence on the course located next to Heathrow airport of the Swedish Ludvig Aberg, the big surprise of Donald’s ‘wild card’ and champion of the European Masters in Crans Montana. Aberg competed as a novice in the United States until June and barely interacted with his Ryder teammates.
At Wentworth, therefore, everyone will play, including Donald and four of his vice-captains (Francesco and Edoardo Molinari, Thomas Bjorn and Nicolas Colsaerts): Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Robert MacIntyre, Viktor Hovland, Tyrrell Hatton, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Shane Lowry, Sepp Straka, Nicolai Hojgaard, and Ludvig Aberg.
It will be a great test for all of them two weeks before the ‘histilities’ begin against the US on the Roman tour. Europe is still hurting from the recession two years ago in Whistling Straits, in Kohler (Wisconsin).
