Sepp Kuss: “Each stage that passes I feel more Spanish”

The American Sepp Kuss (Jumbo Visma) lived special and very emotional moments when he entered the finish line of Guadarrama embraced with his teammates and parts of the final podium Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic.

“I feel very relieved. We controlled this day perfectly thanks to my teammates Robert Gesink and Dylan van Baarle, who worked 90 percent of the day. Then checking the end of the stage, I take my hat off to Jonas and Primoz Roglic,” he said.

The three crossed the finish line together, confirming the victory of Kuss and Jumbo Visma, the first team to win the big three in the same season.

“It was very special! I was able to ride relaxed with them until the end, that’s great. I still have to take it all in, but the best thing is that I can do it in the presence of my family. That’s what it’s it’s about everything,” he concluded.

And, in balanced mode, the American acknowledged that “it’s very difficult. I showed that a globetrotter can win,” before half-jokingly pointing out that “with each passing stage I feel more Spanish.”
