Eintracht has been exposed to harsh UEFA sanctions

Date:

The controversy on last night of the Europa League could have been very costly for the two finalists, EintrachtFrankfurt Y guards; and especially the German club that was declared champion in the penalty shootout. For this we have to start with the fact that both clubs have been repeatedly guilty since they were sanctioned last Friday.

In this case there are some penalties to which they are exposed. In the first place due to incidents around the stadium before the meeting between fans of both teams.

Article 16 of the Disciplinary Code clarifies that host teams or national associations are responsible for “order and security in and around the stadium, before, during and after the match.” Finally in a neutral stadium, the responsibility lies with the clubs that oppose it

But there were also lighting flares inside the stadium by German fans. Something strictly prohibited by UEFA regulations in point c of this article 16 and where it also appears that it is repeatedly guilty.

Last Friday, UEFA fined the German club 12,500 euros as a result of the rivalry Barcelona at Camp Nou. Where eight thousand was as a result of lighting flares inside Barça’s stadium. Already in the first leg on German soil, UEFA fined the German club 75,000 euros for lighting and launching flares. This is the third consecutive chapter thus exposing himself to higher fines for recidivism in addition to partial or even total closure of the stadium. The Rangers were also fined 36,250 euros for lighting the flares on April 7 in Braga.

Fischer refers to Pizjuán as Micky Mouse’s stadium

And then there were the words of the German team president peter fisher against Sánchez Pizjuán by referring to it as a “Micky Mouse” stadium that clearly violates UEFA regulations and that its Disciplinary Code lists as clearly punishable. In point b of article 11 on general principles of conduct, it clearly mentions “behaviors that insult the basic rules of decent conduct” or of a “non-sportsman” nature that may imply of economic punishment for the German club.
