Prominent coaches without a team in a new LaLiga project

The league has launched a pilot project that will offer coaches without equipment the possibility of continuous training through video analysis and its performance data platform Mediacoach.

“The pilot project envisages the opening of a new platform service that will allow these coaches to access a large part of the clubs’ performance data. LaLiga Ea Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion with the aim of promoting links in an increasingly demanding competition for technicians,” the entity explained in a statement.

For the pilot project, technicians with proven track records and experience in competition clubs have been selected who know the platform and are part of a group of coaches who can lead a team in the same competition in the coming months or season.

Among the technicians who will test the service are names like Míchel González, Rubi, Pablo Machín, Robert Moreno, Gaizka Garitano, Julio Velázquez, Lucas Alcaraz, Luis Miguel Ramis or Pep Lluis Martí.

“Access requires a series of strict legal requirements agreed with the coaches to keep the use of the data within the purpose of ongoing training,” explained LaLiga.

Elite technicians without a team will have access to continuous training on using the Mediacoach platform and will be up to date when joining a team, he assured. This will “reduce the adaptation period and improve the competitiveness of the teams and keep the demand and intensity high in the competitions,” he added.

Mediacoach It collects a large volume of data generated in real time during each match thanks to 3 tactical cameras and up to 16 fixed perimeter cameras installed in each stadium. The cameras track the players, referees and the ball on the field, to generate more than 3.5 million data per match which translates into around 2,000 metrics per player.
