England goalkeeper Mary Earps’ jersey sold out within hours of Nike launching the kit two months after the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The sports brand was heavily criticized during the World Cup for not selling the goalkeeper’s shirt, even though the rest of his team-mates’ kits, both home and away, could be bought.
This Monday, Nike put a ‘limited’ run of Earps t-shirts on its official store and they sold out within hours.
“I didn’t know it would be sold now, and they’re sold out!” the goalkeeper of Manchester United, who is also won the Golden Glove in the World Cup where England lost the final against Spain (1-0).
“More will be sold at the end of the year, and more sizes for both kids and adults, so stay tuned. Thank you all for your incredible support. “You made it possible,” Earps added.
