The arrival of Gaizka Garitano in Almería in place of Vicente Moreno has energized a dressing room that has been ‘touched’ by the recent poor results and the under position of the Indálica team. And one of the first to endorse his arrival and hope for a change in dynamics is goalkeeper Luis Maximiano, one of the summer signings who already has stripes in the group.
The Portuguese revealed what Garitano asked of them in their first engagement. “He asked us to give our best, to have intensity and a lot of work. When results don’t show up, it’s normal for morale to be low, but when a new coach comes in, we all start from scratch and with this change we are motivated. “We will all give 100%,” he said in an interview with UDA Radio.
Maximiano hopes to come out of the tailgate and appeals to the unity of the locker room as one of the keys to being hopeful. “You get into a bad streak and we were bad, it affected us and we had to change that. This will pass and the results will come. We are in the same boat and we are all going to get it together,” explained the goalkeeper of an Almería club under LaLiga.
