Luciano Benavides won stage 4 in the motorcycles and Price was ahead

Luciano Benavides (Husqvarna) won the fourth stage of the Morocco Rally in the motorcycle category and despite the bonuses obtained by its opponents. The Argentine won ahead of the Chilean Ignacio Cornejo (Honda), second in 1:18 minutes, and the Australian Toby Price (KTM), third in 2:24 and consolidated his overall lead.

Pablo Quintanilla (Honda) finished fourth in 3:17 and Spalo Tosha Schareina (Honda) fifth in 3:26 after losing the lead he had in the last kilometer after his motorcycle’s exhaust broke.

“Today everything went perfect, opening the track and at a good speed but after refueling I broke the lower part of the exhaust manifold which made the bike not have much power in the last 90km”Schareina said. “This is racing and tomorrow we will continue gnashing our teeth in the final stage of this rally,” concluded the Valencian via his social networks.

Price more leader, but Luciano will win the World Cup

Generally on two wheels, Toby Price increased his lead and now leads Botswana’s Ross Branch (Hero MotoSports) by 5:56 minutes.

Spaniard Lorenzo Santolino lost his chance to finish in the lead by twisting the crown of his motorcycle. He managed to repair the piste with a stone to restart and finish the stage 1h.11:27 behind Luciano Benavides.
