Two minorsfans of Manchester City, became allowed unable to attend City matches, home or away, because of offensive chants against Bobby Charlton.
The incident took place during the match between City and Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, hours after the news ofdeath of Charltonlegend of Manchester United, rival club of the ‘Sky Blues’.
Both City and Premier League they condemned the songs and this Thursday the Manchester team revealed the identity of the two subjects.
“Manchester City can confirm that two minors met in relation to offensive chants heard at the Etihad Stadium at half-time of the match against Brighton & Hove Albion. The individuals in question are suspended from attending all home and away games and his details have been shared with Greater Manchester Police, who are investigating the matter,” the City said in a statement.
