The Italian Lorenzo Pellegrini Roma player, defended himself against the accusations of harassment in a ‘escort‘ published by the media ‘Dillinger News’, owned by the Italian Fabrizio Corona, a photography businessman who accused several football players of being involved in the ‘Betting Case’.
The captain of the Italian team released a release on his Instagram account to deny information from the Corona web portal, recently denounced by football players such as the Italians Stephan El Sharaawy (Roma) and Nicolo Casale (Lazio) after they were involved in the so-called ‘Betting case’ in Italy.
A case in which, at the moment, only Italians are involved Nicolo Zaniolo (Aston Villa), still in judicial proceedings to clarify his involvement; Sandro Tonali (Newcastle), allowed 10 months without playing; and Niccolo Fagioli (Juventus), allowed 7 months not playing.
“I had to waste three minutes of my day to read the article published on a channel that reported fabricated news about me,” Pellegrini said when he heard the news.
The player assured that the issue is now in the hands of his lawyers.
“I don’t want to waste more than 3 seconds reject the obvious nonsense. My lawyers, whom I asked to protect my interests and, above all, my values and those of my family, will take care of this,” he explained.
“Now I have more important things to think about, because soon my third child will be born. “I hope that the competent authorities act immediately to protect the good people,” he added.
According to Corona, the ‘escort’, of Romanian nationality, reported the footballer five times.
