Manchester City came from 0-2 behind Aston Villa on Sunday to defend their Premier League title, ahead of Liverpool by one point, who also had to turn around their game against Wolverhampton (they won 3-1) to dreams of taking the crown from Pep Guardiola’s team.

The suspense in the battle for the Premier on the final day of the competition continued until the 81st minute, when Turkey’s Gundogan scored City’s third goal, shattering Jürgen Kloop’s team’s hopes.

Manchester City’s heroic comeback, beating Aston Villa 3-2, took place in just five minutes, with two goals from Gundogan and an equalizing goal from Rodrigo Hernandez in between. Liverpool didn’t take advantage of their lingering comeback at Anfield against Wolves.
