Serbia partially won its appeal to UEFA

The UEFA Appeal Committee has allowed the Serbian Football Association a fine of 50,000 euros and the partial closure of its stadium for its next home match, after partially upholding an appeal it brought against a sanction for racist behavior by its members. Montenegro.

“It was agreed to fine the Serbian Football Association 50,000 euros and to order the partial closure of the Serbian Football Association stadium – the East, North and South sectors – during the next UEFA competition match in which the Serbian Football Association plays Football as the host association,” UEFA said in a statement.

Initially allowed a fight behind closed doors, Serbia was able to change this punishment by Appeal during a trial period of two years from the date of this decision.

Serbia, with a chance to qualify, will host Bulgaria on Sunday in its final qualifying match for Euro 2024.
