1. The first corner of the race.
We were breathless to witness the parallel braking between Bagnaia and Martín in turn 1 of the race. They both stick together and whatever can happen there. Fortunately that was not the case, and Jorge took the lead entering the corner ahead of Pecco.
2. Martín’s reaction.
The early struggles of the race led Jorge Martín to fall to fifth position, but Jorge suddenly retaliated and continued to attack. His fifth lap, overtaking two drivers, was a reflection of this determination.
3. Martín’s lap 5.
Strong double overtaking by Jorge in one lap, where he first passed Alex Márquez in a spectacular manoeuvre, and soon after the then leader, Marini.
4. Bagnaia’s loss of competitiveness in the race.
Until the checkered flag dropped, Pecco was having one of its strongest weekends of the season. But he didn’t find those good feelings at any time in the race. The reason?…”The only thing we changed for the race was the tire.”
5. The Marini front wheel.
To take advantage of the fantastic pole achieved a few hours earlier – establishing a new record for the circuit – Luca distanced himself from the majority of the grid by choosing the soft option for the front axle. He knew how to handle it well, which gave him third place on the podium.
