Petr Cech made his debut as a goalkeeper for the Belfast Giants Ice Hockey team. The Czech hung up his gloves in 2019 after a great career defending the goal of Chelsea (2004-2015), Arsenal (2015-2019) and the Czech Republic national team.
However, the goalkeeper did not give up physical activity as he joined an ice hockey team in the lower divisions of Great Britain. He started in goal for fourth-tier Guilford Phoenix, and after winning the treble in 2022, he left for Chelmsford Chieftains.
In 2023, he went to Oxford City Stars and his high level, along with several MVPs, led him to sign for Belfast Giants, a professional team where he made his debut. Not just any team, they are the current champions of the Elite Ice Hockey League.
