SD Éibar, sixth in the Second Division, suffered this Thursday in the Autonomous City to eliminate the UD Melillabottom of Group II of the First Federation, and thus qualify for the third round of the Copa del Rey, after being tied with one goal in regulation time and extra time, and tied in a penalty shootout.
In the eleven-meter shot, the visitors scored four shots and the Melilla team managed only one.
In the first half, the Melilla were much better than Éibar and as a result of their good play they took the lead in the 21st minute, in a Ganali which José Enrique ended acrobatically with a bicycle kick into the back of the net.
In the second half, the game was even and the gunsmiths equalized in the 53rd minute, after a penalty was taken by a local defender on Mariano Soriano and Quique converted to tie the game.
