The French Government has banned the movement of fans of eight French clubs for matches of Ligue 1 and of French Cup this weekend, after the incidents in which some of them have been involved in recent months.
In a decree published this Friday in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of the Interior indicated to the clubs that fans cannot participate in the trips of their teams, which are Lens, Girondins de Bordeaux, Nimes, Auxerre, Nantes, Olympique de Lyon, Reims and Olympique de Marseille.
The Ministry states that only this proposal can “avoid all serious risks to the safety of people and property” that it considers to exist taking into account the background described in its decree.
